DODDINGTON HALL SCULPTURE

SCULPTURE AT DODDINGTON

25 JULY - 6 SEPTEMBER 2026

Sioban will be exhibiting 5 sculptures at this stunning venue, in the walled gardens and Stable Yard Gallery.

Gardens: THE DISSIDENT, BASS LINE and MR BUSH

Stable Yard Gallery: KEEPING STILL and FULL MOON MASK

Doddington Hall provides the perfect setting for hundreds of works of art made by talented sculptors from across the UK and beyond.

Curators David Waghorne and Kate McGovern have carefully selected national and international sculptors to complement each area of the garden and to provide an eclectic exhibition to suit all tastes, styles and budgets. A large indoor gallery located in the Stable Yard will exhibit a captivating variety of smaller-scale pieces.

Almost every piece in the exhibition is for sale, an investment which will bring enjoyment to your home or garden for many years and will help to support the career of the sculptor.

The National Memorial Arboretum

THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK's year-round centre of Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting place which honours the fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and fosters pride in our country.

A place of life, represented by the 30,000 trees, covering 150 acres, the Arboretum has something for everyone. For some it’s a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the trees; for others it's a peaceful and beautiful place to remember loved ones, particularly those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

There are more than 300 dedicated memorials. Importantly, the focus isn’t only military, there are large areas devoted to Police, Fire and Rescue and Ambulance services. National Charities are also to be found in the Arboretum grounds.

The only sculpture at the Arboretum which isn't a memorial per se, is BLOWN AWAY. Inspired by Eliots Four Quartets, this piece does pay homage to so many brave people whose lives are altered by their time.

The plinth fabricated in mild steel is reminiscent of hastily dispatched munitions left to rust. Its stripes of bronze, reminiscent of the uniform they wore proudly on their way to War.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Wilcock family, and liaison by Rachel Bebb Contemporary, BLOWN AWAY has been permanently loaned to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
