OWL I (Tawny eye on you)

1999

This piece is available for purchase.

... this young bird should not have been out after daylight ...

At the time Sioban found this poor fellow, she was in the middle of investigating Barn Owls. She soon became fascinated by the enormous differences between the two species and was able to compare them closely before returning the Owl to nature.

The etching was drawn directly on to the plate from the Owl, exactly as he was found.
